Snake Spiral Pillar Candle Holder
matt black and gold cast aluminium, handmade
A single ribbon of cast aluminium rises out of a shallow bowl and turns around the candle before tapering to a fine point, like a curl of smoke above the flame. The outside of the ribbon and the bowl are matt black; the inner face of the ribbon and the band at the foot are gold, so the colours swap as the ribbon twists. The bowl takes a pillar candle and catches the wax, which makes it an easy centrepiece for dining tables, consoles and hotel lobbies. Hand cast and finished in our Moradabad workshop, so every piece varies slightly.
