Privacy Policy

WB Inc (“WB Inc”, “we”, “us”) is a manufacturer and exporter of handcrafted metal and ceramic décor, registered at Kothiwal Nagar, Budh Bazar, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh 244001, India (GSTIN 09AACFW2781N1ZJ · IEC 2916901299 · EPCH #42338). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

It applies to wbinc.in, to enquiries you send us by email or WhatsApp, and to the internal software tools we operate — including WB Inc Catalogue Pinner, our private tool for publishing our own product photography to our own Pinterest business account.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Trade enquiries and quote requests — name, company, business email, country, phone number, product interest, target quantity and any message or reference files you send.
• Trade account registration — business email and a password (stored only as a salted hash), plus the company details you enter.
• Order requests — company, contact, destination country and port, Incoterm, target ship date and order notes.

Information collected automatically

• Standard server and CDN logs from our hosting provider: IP address, browser user-agent, referring page, pages requested and timestamps. These are used for security and to keep the site working, and are retained for a short rolling period by the host.
• We do not run advertising trackers, cross-site ad pixels, or sell any data.

Information from Pinterest

Our internal tool, WB Inc Catalogue Pinner, connects to the Pinterest API v5. It is used only by WB Inc staff, and only against Pinterest accounts owned by WB Inc. It is not offered to third parties and it has no public sign-up. When a member of our team connects the tool, Pinterest’s own OAuth 2.0 consent screen asks them to approve specific permissions. We then hold:

2. How we use information

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a quotation, proforma invoice, sample or shipment.
• To verify trade buyers before releasing wholesale pricing.
• To keep the records required of us as a registered Indian exporter (tax, customs and shipping documentation).
• To publish our own product photography to our own Pinterest boards.
• To keep our site and systems secure and to diagnose faults.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it.

3. Legal bases

Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (handling your enquiry, quotation and order); legitimate interests (site security, business record-keeping, promoting our own catalogue); legal obligation (export, tax and customs records); and consent where you have given it, which you may withdraw at any time.

4. Sharing

We share information only where necessary, and never for a third party’s own marketing:

• Service providers — website hosting and CDN, email, and the Pinterest API itself. They process data on our instructions.
• Logistics and compliance partners — freight forwarders, couriers, customs brokers and our EU Authorised Representative, where a shipment requires it.
• Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.

5. International transfers

WB Inc is based in India and our buyers are worldwide, so information you send us may be processed in India and in the countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Retention

• Enquiries and quotations — up to 3 years from the last contact, then deleted.
• Order, tax and export records — as long as Indian law requires (generally 8 years).
• Trade account details — until you ask us to close the account.
• Pinterest tokens — until revoked or expired; deleted immediately when a staff member disconnects the tool or leaves.
• Server logs — the short rolling window kept by our host.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. API tokens are held in permission-restricted local files, are never committed to source control, and are never embedded in client-side code. Access to buyer records is limited to the two partners and the staff who need it.

8. Your rights

Subject to your local law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email sales@wbinc.in with the subject line “Privacy request” and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you may also complain to your supervisory authority.

To revoke our Pinterest tool’s access at any time, go to Pinterest → Settings → Security & permissions → Apps, and remove WB Inc Catalogue Pinner. Our stored tokens stop working immediately.

9. Cookies

wbinc.in uses only cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary — keeping you signed in to the trade portal and remembering the items in your order list. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.

10. Children

Our site is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will note the change on this page.
